When David Long arrived three years ago at Catholic Charities of Dallas at Brady Center he had been homeless for several years and in extremely poor health.  The site manager assisted him in getting into an apartment by referring David to our collaborator, Notre Dame Court, where he could continue to participate in the Elderly and Family Services program and have a stable place to live. 

Like most refugees who come to America, learning how to speak English is only one of many challenges they have to overcome when trying to adapt to a completely different culture.  In the following video, one of our clients, a Burmese refugee, shares with us the obstacles she faced when arriving to the United States and expresses her gratitude towards Catholic Charities of Dallas.

Claudia Soto, a victim of domestic violence, has transformed her life tremendously since arriving to Catholic Charities of Dallas years ago.  She received information and assistance through the Immigration and Legal Services division to protect herself as well as her children from abuse.  Catholic Charities of Dallas gave her the support she needed to create a better life for her and her family.
