The POAR (Parish Outreach and Awareness Receptions) Project is a new strategy launched for 2011 witha goal to reach out to all parishes in the Diocese of Dallas to spread the word about Catholic Charities of Dallas, the mission of the organization, and its passion for empowering and improving the quality of life for the poor and vulnerable among us.
We are also excited to announce that Kathleen Tarantino, Legendary 2011 Gala Chair and Community Leader, has been named as the 2011 POAR Project Chair for Catholic Charities of Dallas!
"As the 2011 Gala Chair, I was given the opportunity to work with such amazing people at Catholic Charities of Dallas and witness firsthand how great the need is in our community. I couldn’t just stop there once the Gala was over!” said Tarantino. “I am so honored to be able to volunteer again for this organization and head this new POAR Project. My hope is that by sharing my passion for this organization’s work with individuals across the Diocese, this amazing network of people with generous hearts will grow even stronger in order to help such an amazing cause."
Whether you are familiar with Catholic Charities of Dallas already or are hearing about us for the first time, we want you to join us! These receptions are a great way to get together with others sharing the same goal of helping those in need in and work together to find new ways to impact lives in our community.
