Refugee and Empowerment Services of Catholic Charities of DallasThousands of people must flee their homelands in fear of persecution and death each year.  More than any other entity in the country, Catholic Charities of Dallas (CCD) works with the United States government to shelter these victims of circumstance, offering:

  • Transportation from the airport upon arrival
  • Apartment rent and furnishings
  • ESL classes
  • Cultural orientation
  • Job placement services
  • Cash assistance

Empowerment Services
To empower our clients, we help strengthen families and eliminate barriers to employment.  Employment Services include job preparedness and placement assistance.  By accessing Education and Training Services, adults may enroll in a variety of classes, including:  

  • ESL, GED & Citizenship classes
  • Job Readiness and Placement Assistance
  • Vocational training
  • Retail and business skills
  • Computer literacy
