At the Mary R. Saner Child Development Center, our mission is to provide families with a quality early childhood program in a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to give each child the opportunity to grow socially, physically and cognitively in a happy and caring place.

This mission is accomplished in part through the use of Creative Curriculum, which is based on early childhood theories from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The children of Saner follow the lesson plans, classroom management techniques, daily schedules, daily activities and assessments of Creative Curriculum. Within these guidelines, children successfully learn math, literacy, science, social studies, fine arts, technology and processing skills. Our caring teachers are bi-lingual, bi-cultural and hold child development certificates from area institutions of higher learning.

Our doors are open to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We are open weekdays from 6 A.M. until 6 P.M. for the convenience of varying adult work schedules. Saner tuition fees are based on a sliding scale, allowing parents to be employed outside of the home who would otherwise be unable to do so. Parents of the children enrolled in the Mary R. Saner Child Development Center must either go to school or work, or be actively looking for a job.
