The Mission
The Together We Learn program was created to provide families with a quality early childhood program in a safe, nurturing environment.  We strive to give each child the opportunity to grow and develop socially, physically, and cognitively in a stimulating and caring place.

The Program

In 2009, our intensive ESL program for children and parents, Together We Learn, was selected as one of 4 agencies to receive impact funding by the Zero to Five Funders' Collaborative, an initiative of the Dallas Foundation and 24 foundation partners created to increase literacy in children from birth to age 5 in the Bachman Lake area of Dallas, so that children make measurable progress in being physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually ready for school by age 5.

Here’s a short description I use when describing Our Programs: Together We Learn is an intensive language development program that prepares children in the Bachman Lake area for Kindergarten and teaches parents new ways to become involved in their children's education. Parents and children take English as a Second Language classes and work at home on assignments that get the whole family involved in learning. Since program inception in May, 2010, 210 children and parents have participated.
