“I began my experience with JustFaith unsure of what to expect. I knew about the church's involvement in social justice, but I did not understand the root causes of many of these issues. JustFaith provided an environment to ask questions, have discussions, and find answers. The weekly readings offered insight into situations I had never experienced. I read about families struggling to make ends meet and their constant fight to provide a better life for their children. The emersion experiences brought me face to face with people in my community fighting to create change and bring relief to those in need. I was able to talk with them and understand their passion for justice and I saw the love of Christ in each of them. After hearing the stories of so many people working for justice, I am inspired. I now see we are capable of great things when we work together to help one another. The friendships that have grown for my JustFaith experience have given me a support network to continue my growth as a Catholic. People from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives were able to have rational discussions and learn from one another. This has truly been a life changing experience. I am confident that as a community, the Catholic Church, can and will continue to be a force in ending poverty and bringing justice to all men, women, and children.
