Brady Senior Center

Senior Services Our senior program’s mission is to improve the health and wellness of our senior citizens by offering nutritious meals, increased access to needed health education, and physical and social activities that enable seniors to lead a healthy lifestyle as well as improve the quality of their life.

The Brady Senior Center provides Dallas area seniors age 60+ with congregate meals, resources, information and education, social support and access to medical care for low income seniors.

Seniors are encouraged to participate in activities of their choosing. A holistic and culturally sensitive approach is used in developing educational and advocacy programs and a calendar of events that offers a variety of activities.

  • Nutritional meals: Breakfast & lunch served Monday through Friday.
  • Social interaction & fellowship: Community is created through activities and celebrations.
  • Daily activities: Educational seminars, computer classes, ESL, crafts, Bingo, games, cognitive and physical exercises, outings and dances are available.
  • Educational: Presentations are provided on nutrition, physical wellness, fraud awareness, personal safety, managing diabetes, financial education, adult literacy, citizenship, community resources and other various topics.
  • Access to healthcare professionals: Gerontology counselors, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, nurse practitioners, dentists and nutritionists provide free services on site.
  • Transportation: Rides to and from the center are available within a five mile radius.
  • Financial & food assistance: Services are available to our senior clients.
  • Advocacy: SNAP, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and support groups are offered.
