The Beating Heart of Charity
Whether you’re a student, a working professional, or a school group – or even if you want to volunteer with your whole family – we have opportunities for you. Our Volunteer Opportunities page has options that will fit anyone’s time, talent, skillset, and personal preferences and you can choose to serve at any of our service locations.
Volunteering with Catholic Charities of Dallas is safe and simple. Just follow these three steps:
Check out the Volunteer Opportunities page to find the right volunteer option for you! When you find it, click on the “I’m Interested” button!
Register for a Volunteer Orientation class. All Catholic Charities of Dallas volunteers must be “Safe Environment” trained and need to have a clear background check on file. We’ll take care of both of those things while you’re in the required volunteer orientation.
When you register for orientation, we’ll send you a volunteer application. You’ll need to bring this completed application with you to orientation. As part of the application, you will need to supply references – please let them know that we will be contacting them so that they’re not surprised! We prefer email addresses for references whenever possible – your references must be verified before you can start volunteering and email speeds up that process significantly.
